The AYD programme consists of seven one-day sessions that take place every month in Warsaw, one field trip to a Polish town, and opening and graduation ceremonies.

Sessions
Sessions are held on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm in Warsaw. Monthly meetings have four components:

IMeetings with high-ranking politicians and officials of the foreign and civil services as well as renowned figures in Polish science, business and politics. These meetings include a panel discussion during which participants ask questions about prospective professions and current events in international relations and domestic policymaking.

II. Specialization groups/ Art of Communication (every other session). Specialization groups are led by young employees of the public administration sector and EU institutions. By sharing their experiences they teach AYD students how to prepare for the competitive application process to particular institutions (varying according to each field of specialization: “foreign service,” “civil service” and “international institutions”). Art of Communication workshops tackle issues such as working with the media, intercultural communication and national branding (for example, Poland's self-presentation).

III. Diplomacy Lab, a series of classes led by diplomatic experts, expands the knowledge necessary for those in the diplomatic arena. There are three workshops in this section: “Savoir–Vivre,” “Diplomatic Protocol and Correspondence,” and “Public Speaking”.

IV. National Days give students an opportunity to become acquainted with heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Poland, to get to know foreign cultures, and to sample dishes from the country being celebrated on a particular day.
