The Academy of Young Diplomats (AYD) is a top-tier postgraduate-level diplomatic Program, which empowers a new generation of global leaders, through an innovative year-long training experience, ending with an Executive Diploma in the Art of Diplomacy (EDAD).

Established in 2004, the AYD prepares future diplomats, civil servants and policy professionals for international careers. The Program is known for its world-class faculty, practitioners-oriented approach and a network of more than 3000 graduates from over 60 countries.

A selected cohort of approximately 80 promising talents from around the world will take part in over 140 hours of lectures, workshops, practical exercises, study-visits, leadership development groups and networking. In the year 2027 the program will be conducted in a hybrid format – with 4 online sessions and 4 in-person sessions organised in Warsaw*.

*Depending on the pandemic situation, the format of the sessions can be modified.

Executive Diploma in the Art of Diplomacy

The Academy of Young Diplomats specializations are designed to accommodate the various interests of our participants. The aim of these tailored workshops is to prepare our participants for the career path they chose.

The 22nd edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats brought together 70 participants from 31 countries around the world.

30% of our participants are from Poland, while 70% represent other countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America – reflecting the truly international character of the AYD programe.

This edition also demonstrates strong representation of women, who make up 60% of participants, with men accounting for 40%.
