Graduate of the American Studies Center at the University of Warsaw; completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Applied Linguistics of the University of Warsaw in the field of legal and court translation, preparing for the profession of sworn translator; participant in the British MA Programme at Lancaster University and in doctoral studies at the Graduate School for Social Research of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences; holder of the Certificate of Proficiency in English with the highest grade. 

Employee of the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw from 1989 to 1992; long-term English language lecturer at Warsaw-based economics universities, including Vistula University and Almamer Higher School; English trainer in financial, banking, insurance, and commercial institutions, including the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Credit Information Bureau, BPH TFI, Aviva Poland, and Carrefour Poland. For five years conducted courses in media and diplomacy language for employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as for current and future diplomats at the Polish Institute of International Affairs Diplomatic Academy and the European Academy of Diplomacy. Delivered specialist language training in numerous EU-funded projects, and cooperated with Oxford University Press in conducting training sessions, providing methodological guidance, and giving presentations at methodological conferences. Translator of EU legal texts and project documentation in the field of transnational cooperation.
