Major Dr. Anna Grabowska-Siwiec is an assistant professor in the Department of International Relations at the University of Białystok; she specializes in the analysis of contemporary hybrid threats, disinformation, and influence operations targeting Poland and NATO countries. With experience serving in the counterintelligence division of the Internal Security Agency, she combines academic knowledge with practical experience in national security in the areas of counterintelligence and information operations. Her training expertise includes recognizing intelligence threats, identifying propaganda campaigns, and influence operations conducted by foreign geopolitical actors, particularly Russian intelligence services. She publishes in peer-reviewed academic journals. She is the author of the academic works “Counterintelligence and Power: From Department II of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Counterintelligence Directorate of the Office for State Protection” and “Counterintelligence Information: The Effect of Analytical and Information Activities by Polish Counterintelligence Services.

As part of the training program for the European Academy of Diplomacy, she teaches how to identify methods of information destabilization and procedures for protecting institutions against manipulation and influence operations. Her training program is based on an analysis of current threats in Central and Eastern Europe and direct case studies related to hybrid conflicts.
