
The 21st edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats 2024/2025
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the 21st edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats (AYD), inaugurated on January 10–11, 2025. The ceremony featured Minister Þórdís Kolbrún R. Gylfadóttir, Former Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, discussing Iceland’s role in global diplomacy, moderated by Professor Katarzyna Pisarska, Founder of the European Academy of Diplomacy.
A highlight of the event was the announcement of General Kazimierz Pułaski as this year’s patron, made by Zbigniew Pisarski, co-founder of the European Academy of Diplomacy and President of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation.
Key Highlights from the First Session
Participants began the session with an introduction to the Leadership Development Groups led by Professor Katarzyna Pisarska, setting the stage for collaboration and personal growth. The Diplomatic Skills Workshops featured engaging classes on Foreign Policy and Public Diplomacy and Speechwriting and Public Speaking for Diplomats, equipping participants with essential tools for their diplomatic journeys. The day concluded with Specialization Classes, which included Working in International Organizations: Budget and Human Resources, Introduction to Multilateral Negotiations, and Strategic Communication in Foreign Service.
