T. Orłowski appointed as new Head of the Council of Ambassadors
The European Academy of Diplomacy is pleased to announce that on the 30th of January, Mr. Tomasz Orłowski has been appointed as the new Head of the Council of Ambassadors of the European Academy of Diplomacy. Ambassador Orłowski replaces Ambasador Jan Wojciech Piekarski in this role.
Tomasz Orłowski is an ambassador ad personam, professor at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski University in Cracow and visiting professor at the Paris School of International Affairs. In his career, Ambassador Orłowski has been involved with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland (1990-2021). Throughout his diplomatic career his roles included: Director of Diplomatic Protocol (2005-2007), the Ambassador of Poland to France and the Principality of Monaco (2007-2014), as well as to Italy and the Republic of San Marino (2015-2017). In 2014 he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in Poland.
The European Academy of Diplomacy would like to extend its congratulations to Ambassador Orłowski for his new role. We strongly believe that he will fulfill his tasks and mission within the council. Likewise, the EAD team would like to thank ambassador Jan Wojciech Piekarski, whose years of service and commitment substantially helped develop the Academy.
