Special Guest – Prof. Katarzyna Pisarska at the Academy of Young Diplomats 2021/2022
The European Academy of Diplomacy (EAD) is thrilled to announce Prof. Katarzyna Pisarska as a Special Guest for the VI Session of the 2021/2022 edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats (AYD). During this session, Prof. Pisarska will deliver a Leadership Lecture titled “Women Leadership.”
The Academy of Young Diplomats is a top-tier postgraduate diplomatic Program aiming to empower a new generation of global leaders, through an innovative year-long training experience with hands-on Diplomatic Workshops, Specialization Classes, and Study Visits, within a one-of-a-kind learning experience, bringing together 120 future leaders from over 50 countries.
Prof. Pisarska is a Polish social entrepreneur, civic activist, and academic. She is the Founder of the European Academy of Diplomacy, the Visegrad School of Political Studies, and a Co-Founder of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation and the Warsaw Security Forum. Currently, Prof. Pisarska chairs the Board of Directors of the European Academy of Diplomacy and the Foundation Council of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation. She is also the Vice President of the European Forum Alpbach in Austria, a Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis in Washington D.C., and an Expert on the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.
In addition to her social entrepreneur work, Prof. Pisarska pursues a career in academia. She is an Associate Professor at the Warsaw School of Economics, a Centre of Public Diplomacy Faculty Fellow at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and a Visiting Professor at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy in Baku.
For her leadership accomplishments in the not-for-profit sector, in 2014 Prof. Pisarska has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and later selected to serve on the YGL Advisory Group. She was also named “99 under 33” most influential world foreign policy leader by the Diplomatic Courier in Washington D.C.
Prof. Pisarska’s insight in Women in Leadership are an invaluable contribution to the VI Session of the 2021/2022 edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats.
