TOPICS
Topics of standard language classes contain vocabulary from the field of economics, politics, cultural and international relations. The following are some of the thematic blocks used during the EAD language programs, which focus on developing the participants’ ability to communicate in the fields of economy, social and cultural life, and international relations:
- Language and Media Program (traditional and electronic elements of the media),
- Government Instutions & Administration (domestic and international institutions, law and European Union),
- Energy Industry (technical and non-technical courses for the energy sector),
- Art and Culture (a broad look at the many aspects of art).
METHODOLOGY
EAD Language Programs are taught by professionals with years of experience working with international business customers. Classes are based primarily on materials developed by the professional education staff and tailored for each course and the student’s needs. Before beginning the program, students take part in a pre-course language exam to judge their current learning level. This test is then compared to a final exam that highlights the progress each participant makes. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
GROUP LEVELS
Classes are held in small groups (10 participants max.), ensuring a comfortable and interactive learning environment at the EAD’s offices or at the customer place of business. Well-equipped rooms provide the ability to use interactive and visual tools during classes, enriching the learning process. Courses are taught in groups from Beginner (A0) to Advanced (C1) level and additionally, we offer an Exam Course (E) to prepare students for Departmental Exams at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
INTENSITY OF CLASSES
The EAD offers semester long courses at three levels of intensity which are held each day of the week:
- 60-hours (classes 2 times / week)
- 90-hours (classes 3 times / week)
- 120-hours (classes 4 times / week).
